Founded in 2010, the Grace Notes Music Foundation is an outreach program of the Jupiter Academy of Music. It is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization which was initially created to administer individual music scholarships in memory of Makayla Joy Sitton, a gifted student at the Jupiter Academy of Music. Since then, the Foundation has grown to support individual scholarships, group music lessons, and neighborhood music enrichment.
Grace Notes Music Foundation provides exceptional music education and performance opportunities for students from diverse cultural, ethnic, racial and economic backgrounds and to sponsoring community enriching music events. The biggest event of the year is the Grace Notes Carousel Concert-Thon at Downtown at the Gardens on the third Saturday in February. Featuring 2 stages of live music and street musicians, this event provides a day of music for the whole community and a valuable performance opportunity for students from local studios and schools.
